The Big Sponsored Sleepout: Social Action Toolkit
In association with Islamic Relief and Charity Week, The Big Sponsored Sleepout Toolkit offers an easy-to-follow guide for your institute to put together a Sponsored Sleepout event for KS3-KS4 students - helping students to understand the challenges and struggles faced by homeless people in the UK, by spending a night outdoors with limited belongings.
This toolkit covers essential considerations, such as planning and preparation, risk assessment and safeguarding, template letters to parents and activity suggestions.
A social action campaign refers to a coordinated and strategic effort to bring about social change or to address a specific social issue. Designed to create awareness around a particular cause, the goal is often to achieve a positive impact on society.
Engaging in social action campaigns provides children with valuable life skills, cultivates a sense of social responsibility, and contributes to the well-being of both individuals and communities.
